Our gardens present a world of hidden possibilities that can enhance our lives. As we journey through our lives, we encounter many challenges that deserve examination and thought. As we tease through the strands making up these challenges, we learn new things.
Similarly, our gardens offer more than just a view and kerb appeal.
The space we cultivate speak directly to our ancient DNA when we were hunter gatherers, reminding us of our connection to nature. The food we grow comes to our table, fresh, in season. The herbs we grow and preserve come packed with powerful, healing phytochemicals that support healthy cellular chemistry. Medical science is examining how the complex molecules within plants cause cancer apotosis and support other health pathways. As far back as the ancient Greeks and Chinese, the impact of herbs on health was known. Oregano, basil, rosemary - all common herbs with which we cook - have healing properties.
Like life, discovering how the plants we grow can support our health, takes examination and discovery worth delving into.
